Every year as November winds down, inboxes overflow with countdowns, “can’t-miss” deals, and pressure to shop right now. Black Friday has become a cultural event. One that moves faster, gets louder, and stretches a little earlier every season.

At Shade Tree Naturals, we’ve chosen a different path.

Not participating in Black Friday is a conscious decision rooted in our values, our mission, and our respect for the people behind the products we create. Here’s why you won’t find doorbusters or deep-discount chaos here, and why we hope our approach brings a bit of calm to a season that can feel overwhelming.

1. We Believe in Fair, Honest Pricing All Year Long

Our products are handcrafted in small batches with high-quality, ethically sourced ingredients. We price them thoughtfully. Enough to support our studio, sustain our family, and source materials responsibly.

Offering steep Black Friday discounts would mean artificially inflating prices the rest of the year… and that’s not who we are.

We would rather keep our prices steady and transparent than pressure our customers into a limited-time frenzy.

2. We Want to Honor the Craft, Not the Clock

Small-batch skincare and home products take time, real time. Our work is human hands, curing racks, herbal infusions, and careful blending. A sale that pushes us to overproduce or rush doesn’t serve the quality you expect or the integrity of our ingredients.

We don’t want to trade the craft for the countdown.

3. The Season Already Brings Enough Stress

Black Friday is designed to overwhelm. Loud urgency, long lines, limited stock, and pressure to buy more. We’d rather offer a slower, more intentional experience that supports the heart of the holiday season: connection, gratitude, and mindful gifting.

Our hope is that shopping with us never feels frantic. It should always feel thoughtful.

4. Supporting Small Shouldn’t Be a One-Day Event

While Black Friday often benefits big corporations most, small businesses thrive on steady, intentional support throughout the year. When you choose Shade Tree Naturals, whether in July or December, your purchase directly supports our small studio, local suppliers, and the ethical, sustainable mission we care so deeply about.
