10 Reasons to Love Hempseed Oil

Hemp, as a whole plant, is an amazing crop that (in my opinion) could save the world.  However, that's a conversation for another day.  Today we are going to point out why we love Hempseed Oil most specifically for use on our skin.
1. Sustainability - Hempseed Oil is derived from hemp, a fast growing crop that requires minimal water and no pesticides.  Plants mature in 3-4 months and grow in many types of soil, saving time and resources.
2. Moisturization: Hempseed oil is rich in essential fatty acids, including omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which are known to help maintain skin's natural moisture barrier. This can help keep the skin hydrated and prevent dryness and flakiness.
3. Anti-Inflammatory: Hempseed oil contains compounds like gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) that have anti-inflammatory properties. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals with inflammatory skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or acne.
4. Balancing Oily Skin: Despite being an oil, hempseed oil has a lightweight and non-greasy texture that can help regulate oil production on the skin. It's suitable for both dry and oily skin types, as it can help balance sebum production.
5. Skin Barrier Support: The fatty acids present in hempseed oil can help strengthen the skin's barrier function. This barrier is crucial for protecting the skin from environmental stressors, pollutants, and moisture loss.
6. Antioxidant Protection: Hempseed oil contains antioxidants like vitamin E, which can help protect the skin from oxidative stress caused by free radicals. This may contribute to preventing premature aging and maintaining youthful-looking skin.
7. Acne Management: The anti-inflammatory properties of hempseed oil can potentially help reduce redness and inflammation associated with acne. Its non-comedogenic nature means it's less likely to clog pores, making it suitable for acne-prone skin.
8. Soothing Sensitivity: Hempseed oil's calming properties make it useful for soothing sensitive or irritated skin. It may help alleviate itching and redness, providing relief for conditions like dermatitis or sunburn.
9. Collagen Production: The amino acids found in hempseed oil could contribute to collagen production, which is essential for maintaining skin's elasticity and firmness.
10. Wound Healing: Hempseed oil's fatty acids and antioxidants might aid in the healing process of minor cuts, scrapes, or other skin irritations.

*Keep in mind that hempseed oil does not contain THC, the psychoactive compound found in marijuana, so using hempseed oil products will not produce any psychoactive effects.  It is purely a sustainable ingredient designed to nourish and protect your skin*
